Neutron Widths and Configuration Mixing in 11Be
We use known widths and branching ratios in 11Be to discuss Jπ and configuration admixtures. Analysis favors 3/2− for the 3.96-MeV state and three-state mixing for this Jπ . The Landau-Lifschitz formulation of the Einstein equations features h̄μν among the higherderivative terms, where is the ordinary 3+1 wave operator and h̄μν may be viewed as deviation from the flat metric (the over-bar is standard notation). The post-Minkowski (PM) approximation to the Einstein equations involves a sequence 1 h̄μν , 2 h̄μν , · · · formally converging to h̄μν . Here, the first-order 1...
متن کاملTensor correlations and P-wave pairing in neutron matter
Landau-Fermi liquid theory is a powerful effective theory for strongly interacting Fermi systems at low temperatures. It has been successfully applied to liquid He, nuclear matter and nuclei. However, in contrast to the interaction between He atoms, nuclear forces are complicated due to the large non-central spin-orbit and tensor components. Here, we report on the in-medium modification of the ...
متن کاملDistribution of partial neutron widths for nuclei close to a maximum of the neutron strength function.
For nuclei near a maximum of the neutron strength function, the secular dependence on energy E of s-wave partial neutron widths differs from the canonical form √E. We derive the universal form of that dependence and show that it is expected to significantly influence the analysis of neutron resonance data.
